Welcome to the 4th. annual Parachute Foundation Charity Curling Championships. This event is a curling fundraiser to support the Parachute Foundation’s mission to financially support the Parachute Foundation Emergency Assistance Fund at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.

Here’s how this works:
12 teams of 8 curlers ( more or less ) over two sessions will learn how to curl through instruction for 30 minutes, then in a fun competition curl against each other. Curling team members commit to raise $200.00 towards a team goal of $1600.00 per team. In the past, we have created a website to track and follow donations per curler through a portal. We will NOT be doing that model.

Instead, each curler can direct family, and friends to our website to donate, and in the comment box write which team to credit. In addition, each team member can donate directly or bring a check made out to The Parachute Foundation. Donations are 100% tax deductible. Each skipper will be responsible for making sure their team meets its goal. The team that raises the most money will take home the Curling Team of the Year trophy.

Chip and I want to sincerely thank each curling skipper/your teams and especially your donors for stepping up to support our mission of supporting families in financial hardship at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital via The Parachute Foundation’s Emergency Assistance Fund. This fund helps families in financial hardship pay for the ancillary costs associated with extended hospital stays. These costs may include, hotel, gas, food, parking fees, childcare, etc. Our fund allows parents to be bedside with their children instead of worrying about how to get out of the parking ramp.
